What we're doing
We will be working alongside two Christian organisations, predominantly in the Mid Western Region. We'll both be using our skills in adult and vocational education and training: Sue will be assisting health and community development workers improve their report writing skills with some IT training, while Rob works with groups of teenage boys and young men to provide them with work skills in maintenance and repair of small engines and equipment.
Although Nepalgunj will be our base, we'll be travelling for several weeks as we work our way around the various locations where INF (International Nepal Fellowship) and Maya Sadan have their centres.
We're looking forward to working alongside our friends Phil and Jenny Davis from Alice Springs - Phil is Information Systems Advisor for INF while Jenny is the Principal at Maya Sadan.
Take a look at this map to see the administrative districts of Nepal and see where we will be. We'll be visiting Kapilbastu, Dang, Banke, Bardia, Surkhet, Jumla, Mugu and Bajura Districts to provide training, as well as a visit to Pokhara in Kaski district for a week or two trekking.
